Implants
When you have missing teeth, an alternative solution to dentures is dental implants. While dentures are removable, dental implants provide permanent new teeth to restore your mouth’s function and appearance. Dental implants tend to offer a successful and lasting solution to the loss of some or all of your teeth.
We are able to provide different dental implant solutions depending on your specific needs. We will conduct a thorough assessment and discuss your options with you during your scheduled appointment.

All-on-4® Implants
Here at Hammond Family Dental, we are proud to offer All-on-4® dental implants and implant overdentures.
All-on-4® treatment provides patients with a full-arch prosthesis over four implants on the day of surgery. All-on-4® is designed to give edentulous patients full function of their mouth and full mouth restoration. It’s heavily advertised as providing 4 implants, but some situations may require more.
All-on-4® overdentures reduce the complexity of treatment, the number of surgeries, and the overall treatment time. It is less expensive compared with fixed implants.
All-on-4® dental implants, also known as hybrid dentures, use high-end denture teeth and acrylic for the best aesthetics, making it the most cost effective choice for any future repairs.
All of our implant overdentures are ideal for patients who desire a stable prosthesis with improved function, retention, and speech. We have a variety of implant design options available to suit the needs of all of our patients whether they need a metal bar, locators, or mini implants.
Our removable implant solutions provide a precise customizable fit, improved function, and high aesthetics.

Porcelain Bridges
Every time you drive over a bridge, you’re trusting the same basic engineering that supports a dental bridge. In dentistry, a bridge spans the gap left by a missing tooth. The natural teeth on either side of the space are fitted with crowns—these are called abutments—and they support an artificial tooth in the middle, known as a pontic.
Dental bridges are durable and can last for many years. However, over time, the pressure of supporting the pontic can place stress on the abutment teeth. This strain may eventually weaken them, sometimes resulting in additional tooth loss.
A Stronger Alternative: Implant-Supported Bridges
In many cases, dental implants offer a better long-term solution. Rather than relying on neighboring teeth for support, implants are placed directly into the jawbone and act like artificial roots. They absorb the chewing forces that natural teeth once handled, protecting surrounding teeth from unnecessary stress.
Sometimes, two implants can be used to support a bridge—offering stability and strength without compromising adjacent healthy teeth.

Full or Partial Dentures
If you are looking for a full bottom or top replacement solution for missing teeth, then a full-set of dentures may be an excellent option for you. Dentures are attached to a gum-colored base, held in place with either suction or an adhesive, and can replace an entire arch of missing teeth.
While full dentures are more cost-effective and less invasive than dental implants, full dentures require more upkeep and maintenance. It is important to clean your dentures regularly so that your gums remain healthy and your dentures continue to look good as new.
After determining that full dentures are the right option for you, our team will take several sets of dental impressions to serve as the mold for your dentures. The size and shape of the teeth for your denture will be custom-made so that the final product provides you with a perfect fit and bite. Our job is to ensure that the look, feel, and functionality of your new dentures are as natural as possible.
The molds are then sent to a dental lab to prepare a mock-up denture for you. We may schedule several fitting appointments as we work with you to test how the mock-up looks, feels, and fits in your mouth. During this time it is important that you are honest with your feedback as this will determine the final result. We will make notes and adjustments to the fit of the dentures before sending them to the lab for production to ensure a better look, feel, and fit.
After the final changes are made, the lab will custom build your dentures. Once we receive the final design, your last fitting will be held in our office for any small adjustments to the bite or fit to ensure optimal comfort.
